Connect an AI assistant to TapToNote

TapToNote is a private notebook for the short facts and ideas you dictate on your iPhone. With TapToNote Plus, your entries are copied to your account, and an AI assistant that you connect can read, search and add them through an MCP connector.

Connect from Claude

1. Open claude.ai and go to Settings > Connectors.
2. Add a custom connector with the URL https://mcp.taptonote.app/mcp.
3. Sign in with the same Sign in with Apple account you use in the TapToNote app. TapToNote Plus is required.

Connect from ChatGPT, Codex and other MCP clients

Add a connector or MCP server with the same URL, https://mcp.taptonote.app/mcp, and sign in with the same account when asked.

Tools

• taptonote_help: Shows the commands you can write, such as “TapToNote list”. Reads no entries.
• taptonote_status: Reports the entry count, the data version and when each phone last synced.
• taptonote_streams: Lists your named streams with their IDs and entry counts.
• taptonote_list: Lists entries, newest first.
• taptonote_get: Gets one entry by ID.
• taptonote_search: Finds entries containing a text phrase.
• taptonote_add: Adds a text entry to the cloud copy; it reaches your iPhone on sync.
• taptonote_edit: Replaces the text of one entry, only when you explicitly ask for that change.
• taptonote_delete: Deletes one entry, only after you approve a confirmation form.

Data and privacy

Your entries are private to your account. The assistant reads only what you connect it to, and the server treats entry text as untrusted data, never as instructions. See the Privacy Policy and the Terms.

Disconnect and support

Remove the connector in your assistant's settings. In the app, signing out stops cloud sync, and Account > Delete… removes your account and cloud data. Support: [email protected].
